Gold - "A Kodak Moment"

It was a busy weekend in Victoria this weekend; the Corporate Rowing Challenge was on Saturday, along with the Easter Seals 24 Hour Relay, and the Oak Bay Tea Party.

We entered a quad in Saturday's Corporate Challenge. We had eight weeks of practice leading up the the day of races. Saturday consisted of two qualifying races, and the final. Our first race of the day was kind of shaky, but enough to put us a little a head of the pack. In our second heat we raced our biggest competitors, we had a good, strong race, but they ended up about a quarter boat length ahead of us. Our combined time landed us in the final. Our start for the final race was a little shaky, but we pulled it together, then poured everything we had into the finished and we came out on top. It was a great race, we pulled our fastest time for the day 1 min 42 secs.
